Born
and raised in New York City, Alan is a graduate of the High School of
Music & Art and The Cooper Union where he studied painting under Morris
Cantor, Robert Gwathmy and George Marsicano among others.
In May 2000, George King, Director for The Georgia OKeefe Museum
in Santa Fe chose his painting Woman Stressingfor the 51st
Annual Art of the Northeast Show at Silvermine. And this year, another
oil was chosen for the 52nd Annual Show at Silvermine. His work can be
found in several private collections.
He has shown at the Peter Cooper Gallery in NYC, The Stamford Art Association,
The Northern Westchester Center for the Arts, The Sackler Gallery at the
Palace Theatre in Stamford and recently at the Past & Present
show for the Loft Artists Association 20th Anniversary Retrospective at
the University of Connecticut Gallery in Stamford. Alan is a member of
the Loft Artists Association where he maintains a studio on Canal Street.
He is also a member of the Stamford Art Association.
