Henry
Jones is a writer, musician and photographer, who was born
and raised in New York City. Mr. Jones is a trained musician with a
passion for world music. Having study African Drumming and Dance as
well as other musical cultures of the world such as the music of the
Caribbean, music of India and Bali, to name a few.For the past nine
years, Mr Jones has worked and lived in the city of Stamford Connecticut.
Mr. Jones has completed showings at numerous venues within Stamford Connecticut,
among them most noteworthy is a "one artist" show at The Ferguson
Library main branch. Mr. Jones uses photography in the traditional sense,
as well as employing a computer-generated
technique to some of his images.
This application of computer technology allows his photographs to take
on a new existence. Mr. Jones will present his photographed images on
all
types of material such as matte, cloth, silk and canvas, which further
increases the visual effect of the end product. As a photographer Mr.
Jones typically opts to focus on expressions of culture, people of color
and displays of musicianship.
Mr. Jones is currently working as a consultant on the Academy of Information
Technology and the Academy of Architecture and Engineering in Stamford
Connecticut. Mr. Jones is a design team member of the program and has
been primarily in charge of student recruitment. Mr. Jones is also the
Executive Director of the Chester Addison Community Center in Stamford
Connecticut."
